Project Description

Livingstone developed the Business Plan of the largest solar plant in the Netherlands. We were involved in the project development and investor relations.

The largest solar park in the Netherlands for the time being is in Delfzijl in Groningen. Solar Park SunPort consists of exactly 116,334 solar panels and 843 inverters, spread over an area of 30 hectares, or 65 football pitches. The enormous solar park has a capacity of 30 megawatts, sufficient for the energy needs of no fewer than 7,500 households. After SunPort Delfzijl became operational in January 2017, the initiators indicated that similar renewable energy projects will follow.

Over the next ten years, Google will purchase all the electricity that Sunport Delfzijl will produce. The 123,000 solar panels of the largest solar energy park in the Netherlands are expected to generate 27 gigawatt hours of green energy. Google wants to use it for its nearby data center in Eemshaven.
